Slovenia: More electricity and heat from the sun?

Ljubljana, 23. January 2008 –European promotion campaign of the project European Solar Days this year also in Slovenia organized by Agencija za prestrukturiranje d.o.o.

Agencija za prestrukturiranje energetike (ApE d.o.o.) joined the project European Solar Days co financed by European Commission – Intelligent Energy Europe program and Ministry for environment and spatial planning of Republic Slovenia. These solar days have been already organized and celebrated in past years in Switzerland, Austria and Germany, now for the first time also in France, Spain, Slovenia, Italy, Portugal and the Netherlands. There will be more than 4.000 different activities in all named countries on same days under common name EU Solar Days.

The idea of the project is to draw attention of public to environmental friendly solar energy on fixed days in Slovenia altogether. In those days and time before the frequency of information and promotion of solar energy in media and organizations will increase. Organizations that wish to emphasize their activities on solar energy should seize the opportunity to promote themselves and join to the project. On 16. and 17. of May 2008 we invite solar system operators, trade workers, communities, districts, associations, economic development agencies, energy consultants, architects, schools, churches, banks and all interested persons, organisations and institutions to join us in solar days celebration and organize local solar event.
